So What Have We Done For You Lately?
Take a Look

Washington State Impacts, a new searchable web database developed by the College of Agriculture and Home Economics, features more than 50 brief reports on the impact of teaching and research work in the college and extension work university wide.
Extension projects highlighted on the site include one that has helped create family businesses and jobs in several depressed timber-dependent counties, based on special forest products, including mushrooms, wild berries and ferns.
An Extension project in Snohomish County is upgrading the training of childcare providers. Research has shown that the quality of childcare plays an important role in a young child's early experiences and sense of well-being.
Another Extension project is evaluating the feasibility of growing several high-value crops such as edamame, wasabi, bamboo and baby corn. These and other alternative crops may help farmers in western Washington stay in business.
